What are the words to some christian prayers?
Prayer is simply communication between the person and God. There are no prayers to recite for Christians. Jesus gave us an example of how to pray, known as “The Lord’s Prayer” (Matt. 6:9-13). Prayer is not meant to be some memorized poem that we chant. Prayer is a personal conversation between you and God the Father. As a matter of fake, the Bible talks against repeating phrases over and over (ie. Hail Mary’s) in Matt. 6:7 which Jesus says, “And when you pray, do not heap up phrases (multiply words, repeating the some ones over and over) as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking.” [Amplified Version Bible] True there are little children’s prayers like “Now I Lay me Down to Sleep,” at bedtime and “God is Great, God is Good” at meal time, but they are designed to teach a child speak to, glorify, and to honor God in prayer. We used them to teach our son to pray, now that he is older and understand, he prays to God in his own words and on his own. H
