More common side effects of Zantac include vomiting, dizziness, nausea, headaches, constipation, abdominal pain, insomnia, impotence, diarrhea and decrease in libido. Some side effects which are more serious can include loss of appetite; change in heart rate; fever; dark urine; bleeding or bruising easily; jaundice; abdominal pain; skin rash; clay colored stools; chest pain; coughing up mucus that is green or yellow; breathlessness and extreme weakness. Contact your doctor if you have any incidence off these more serious side effects. If you notice any signs of an allergic reaction such as rash or hives; trouble breathing or swollen tongue, throat, mouth or face you should seek medical advice straight away.
