What asset classes are available? What indices are used to proxy asset class performance?
Floodlight has 19 asset classes, covering Equity, Fixed Income and Alternative Investments. In order to gauge the performance of any asset class, it needs to be ‘proxied’ (in other words ‘approximated and represented’) by an appropriate index. The full list of asset classes that are available, including the name of the index that is used to proxy each asset class, is shown below.
