Speaking from experience, the poison has many different effects on many different animals, i most cases that I’ve seen dogs and cats are the main victims. Say for instance when a dog bites or tries to eat a cane toad, and it ingests some of the poison, it wil start to act strange, often staggering around like someone who is drunk. Shortly after that (and depending on how much poison was taken in) the dog will start vomiting and then fitting almost like a human with epilepsy. In most cases (talking about my aunties dogs) they usually come out of it. Sometimes they don’t and will die. Usually the cane toad will escape during this time. Cats on the other hand usually die after ingesting cane toad poison. Now, here’s something that might interest you.
