What behaviour should the wearer of an Audemars Piguet watch adopt ?
Our current mechanical watches are protected against disruptive factors such as shocks (by an anti-shock system fitted on the pivots of the balance-staff), and against magnetic fields and variations in temperature (by the use of special alloys with a thermo-elastic coefficient close to zero for the balance spring). Nonetheless, the fact of exceeding certain limits (such as violent shocks, intense magnetic fields, thermal shocks), in addition to the risk of damaging the watch exterior, may also temporarily or permanently perturb the regulation.
