What can be negated by Haleys spears Arcane Vortex ability?
As the ability’s description says, only spells that target a model within 3 of Haley can be negated. If a unit affected by a spell is within 3, but the trooper who was actually targeted is further away, she cannot negate it. If a spell deviates to within 3 but was targeted at a model further away, she cannot negate it (it would be too late to do so). Effects with a target of self that affect his entire control area could only be negated if Haley was within 3 of that caster when the spell was cast. Arcane Vortex has no effect on upkeep spells that have already been cast.
