It is important for family and friends to become informed on the issues around NPD. Unfortunately there is a great shortage of credible information about healing NPD on the internet. If the person with NPD and his/her therapist are agreeable it may be benefical to you to meet every so often to ask questions about the healing process and address whatever questions you might have. A quality therapist understands the importance of a good support network and will likely be open to meeting with you. It is important not to turn against the NPDer and allow yourself to rage against him/her for all the things they have done in your life. It is very meaningful to have support people who can offer hugs and love without judging the person with NPD.
