What can ordinary people like us do to help asylum seekers and refugees in HK?
Donate time, energy and funds. Also be more caring. Asylum seekers and refugees have been through a lot before they get here. When they do get here, they are often faced with further racism and persecution. Acoustic artists Ocean and Joves, bands F.B.I., Don’t Shoot the Pianist, David Bowie Knives, Dr Eggs and hip-hop act Ghost Soljah will play on the night. Rocking for Refugees will take place on June 21 at The Cavern. The event starts at 7pm and entry costs $100. Proceeds goes to Chung King Mansions Service Centre for helping refugees and asylum seekers in Hong Kong.
