What care is provided to individuals who are quarantined or isolated?
While persons are quarantined or isolated, public health authorities are required to: • monitor their health status frequently to determine if they continue to require quarantine or isolation • provide adequate food, clothing, and shelter provide a means of communication with others outside quarantine or isolation provide medication and competent medical care take into consideration, to the extent possible, cultural and religious beliefs.
