What Causes Bad Smelly Discharge After Menstruation?
After menstruation the body has a way of cleaning itself out. The uterus does this by secreting a slime like clear substance that is highly acidic to kill bacteria and fungi. Along with cleaning out all the bacteria it also gets rid of the access blood left over in the lining of the uterus after menses. These red blood cells are dead now and tend to smell a little. The combination of the slimey secretion, bacteria and dead red blood cells doesn’t always make for the most pleasant of smells.
