In some people, facial spider veins can develop around the eyes, nose and cheeks. Telangiectasia and spider angioma are the medical terms used for spider veins that develop on the body, especially the face and legs. While telangiectasia is a cluster of dilated blood vessels, a spider angioma is a group of dilated blood capillaries that branch out from a central arteriole. Although spider veins can form commonly on the legs and face, different factors may cause their development.  more
