What causes headlights to become cloudy, dingy & yellowing in the first place?
There are a culmination of factors that cause headlights to become cloudy, dull, yellowing, etc. One being heat and humidity which literally cook the plastic causing oxidation. Another common culprit (depending on your geographic location) is salt from the environment which causes oxidation and eventually the yellowing and dinginess of the headlights.
