What causes liver infection?

0

When the liver cells become damaged, the immune system responds to this damage and causes inflammation (infection)…this causes the liver to enlarge in size. The causes are: alcohol consumption, medication toxification, chemical exposure, viral infections (like hepatitis A,B,C), mushroom poisoning, hereditary conditions, metabolic disorders, auto immune disease, cardiac/vascular problems, biliary obstruction/malformation/infections, fatty liver disease, parasite infections and others. Depending on the cause, treatment will be provided.
