What causes Orofacial disorders?
There is no single cause of an orofacial disorder, however specific conditions can result in orofacial myology disorders. These include: oral habits (thumb sucking, nail biting, grinding teeth); restricted nasal airway due to enlarged tonsils, adenoids, or allergies; physiological abnormalities (abnormally large tongue, tongue tie); and neurological or developmental abnormalities.
