What character has a mental illness in the movie little miss sunshine?
One of my favourite and beloved films! Firstly, you would need to define ‘mental illness’ because it’s not as simple to say that Frank (the brother/uncle character) was mentally ill because he tried to kill himself. Note: he hasn’t had any other mental illness prior to that and was a very successful man, so it was a form of mental illness (extreme depression) that was brought on by a result of extreme stress and personal issues. But that doesn’t ‘make him’ mentally ill, he just ‘experienced’ mental illness. There is a significant difference so you’d have to use those two distinctions in your paper, and then go with the ‘he just experienced mental illness’ with the Frank character and talk about it, what brought it on etc, the details behind something like that and how stress/loss affects the brain/normal thinking patterns and behaviour etc. There is a quote from somewhere that says ‘people don’t have to be mentally ill to experience mental illness.’ It might be a self-help website or t
