What color bedding goes best with cherry wood furniture?

I know you said no dark colors, but I have cherrywood furniture as well and I have a plum color comforter with and organza top layer, I got from a Macy's outlet. It looks really great with the wood. But I like purple too. I would go with whatever color you really like.
