Caucasians-for instance, are remarkably “orange”…but in all skin tones of persons of all races and backgrounds…, I use all colors and combinations of colors of paint to produce the entire portrait…(I often mix the colors I’ve laid out to create the secondary and tertiary colors). Keep in mind that complimentary colors (the opposite colors) are used to create the shadows so, with that in mind, colors such as blue,green and purple, which one might not suspect as being on a human face…sure enough they are.
