At the current time, video game “addiction” is NOT diagnosable (officially) in the DSM-IV-tr or the current version of the ICD. Until that time, it is highly unlikely that any funding/grants would be issued to study and/or treat it. Companies invest in studies/treatment when it is potentially profitable. Until it is officially diagnosable (and then unofficially treatable), the vast majority of companies will not invest a dime in it.
