NEB 10-beta Competent E. coli (High Efficiency) (NEB #C3019) is recommended for propagating or subcloning. However, when using a ClaI site, dam-/dcm- Competent E. coli (NEB #C2925) is recommended. ClaI is methylation sensitive.
