What computing facilities are there at Ridley?
In addition to the two computers available for e-mail and word-processing in the library, every room at Ridley features an ethernet point (currently 100baseT), enabling students to have a direct connection to Cambridge University’s network and the Internet for a small termly fee. The network connection means fast access to e-mail (every Ridley student has an e-mail account with the University), library catalogues, and the world wide web. Students who do not have a computer can gain access to University public workstations (both PCs and Macs) on the Sidgwick site across the street from Ridley. We also have a limited number of older computers for loan to students.
