What connects the Danish company Danfoss to the South American cultures?
The realization that we all need to do more for our environment and the vision to harness technical progress for this purpose. The world’s largest and most important rainforest area is within the boundaries of Brazil. This is an enormous treasure that must be fostered and protected. There is something I truly appreciate today: the Brasileiros have understood the responsibility their country imposes on them and the significance of the rainforest for the global ecosystem. Certainly also because they think in long terms. In this aspect, our values suit the South American way of thinking very well. We operate in a very personal business in which values like trust, credibility and reliability are highly esteemed. And this corresponds exactly to the thinking, actions, and culture of Danfoss. Though our headquarters are located in Denmark, our values are those of South America.
