Arabic is spoken in Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Palestinian territories, Western Sahara (SADR), Yemen by a majority; it is also the liturgical language of Islam. Farsi is spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and also in parts of neighbouring countries (e.g., Uzbekistan, Iraq, Azerbaijan Pakistan, and Turkey and in various Iranian/Persian/Afghani diaspora communities. The language of Iraq is Arabic. The language of Iran (Persia) is Farsi. Best wishes, C.s.
