You could go to an Animal Rescue Centre…the R.S.P.C.A will charge approx £75 for the adoption and you would be giving an animal in need a good home. They will also be able to tell you how well the animal will fit in with your household, it’s temperement, how big it will grow etc I wouldn’t advise getting a puppy as some people say anything just to get rid of them and make some money…there is also the fact you’ll have the messy job of house training 🙁 not pleasant! Remember a dog is fully grown by the time it reaches 1 year old, so if you want a samll breed this is a better age to look for.
It is called a mutt. Breeders do not breed mutts. Find out where your nearest animal shelter or humane society are and go look at what they have there. But I would never go to a “Pet Store” where they sell the poor little animals. Many of these animals have come from “puppy mills” where the animals are mistreated and used only to produce more puppies.There is a lot of inbreeding (being mated with relatives) and that can cause problems for the poor animal and for you.
