The only data that is sent back is a reply to incoming requests that conform to the Resource Rules that the system administrator set up in SDC. The data is encrypted in the transmission between the SDC and Google tunnel servers. The tunnel is encrypted using vanilla TLS with server authentication using a 128-bit or higher AES with SHA cipher suite.
