A. The tether length determines what the pumping range will be. Basically, the longer the tether length, the wider the pumping range (up to the limits of the switch). On the Super Single pump switch, a tether length of 3.5 inches will allow for a pumping range of 6.5 inches. A tether length of 15 inches will allow for a pumping range of 13.5 inches. These are the limits of the Super Single pump switch. Please refer to the product installation instructions for charts calculating pumping ranges.
