To honor the birthday of Samuel B Morse (the fellow who invented the Morse Code) on April 27, today you’ll noticed that there is a bunch of dash-dash-dot symbol on Google front page (some called it Google Skin). Those dots, dashes, dits symbols represent the word Google, coded in Morse Code. Sources: http://www.blogtactic.com/2009/04/google-celebrate-morse-code.

Google give reward and award to honor the creator of Morse Code, Samuel Morse. The birthday of Samuel Finley Breese Morse, is April 27, 1791 and died on April 2, 1872. Morse was an American Painter of historic scenes, but he will be remembered for his other achievements, for being the creator of a single wire telegraph system as well as Morse code. Back in 1832, Morse was on a sea voyage where he came across Charles Thomas Jackson of Boston, who knew a thing or two about electromagnetism. Morse has witnessed a number of Jackson’s electromagnet experiments, which lead Morse to develop a single wire telegraph, which was when his painting career was put aside. 1837 was when Samuel Morse gave the telegraph his full attention, which was when he set up in partnership with Alfred Vail, Professor Leonard Gail, and congressman F O J Smith. Vail was the one with the funds Smith had the expertise. Later the telegraph was patented in Morse’s name alone, the event had been granted by the US Supreme

Samuel Morse’s Birthday Google sent out a message in their banner/logo to let everyone know it’s the birthday of Samuel Morse. Their logo is a series of dots and dashes today, although code experts say it should all be in a straight line–but Google had to make it look pretty and similar to their usual logo. the logo is here (today) http://www.google.com/ or here if they’ve changed it back to the original logo: http://searchengineland.com/googles-morse-code-for-samuel-morses-birthday-18149 Translate it here: http://www.onlineconversion.com/morse_code.htm Sources: http://searchengineland.
