Barry Taylor, joint owner of Holbeck Hall, criticised a businessman for selling T-shirts of the doomed hotel as “sick and disgraceful”. He said: “They had even tried selling the T-shirts in front of members of the family who own the hotel. It was despicable.” “Seeing what happened there brings one word to mind, and that is humility,” said a tearful David James, director of tourism.
