Give up? Well, before I give you the answer, let me begin with this. While at a customer’s site this week, I happened upon a 1991 issue of PC World nestled between a WordPerfect for DOS manual and a Lotus 123 manual. It sat there majestically towering over the other two books, looking proud of its place on the tabletop. I chuckled to myself at first thinking it said 1997 but when I realized it was a vintage 1991, I had to say something. The manager said “Would you like it?” and hastily I said, “Yes!” (Thanks!) When I got a few minutes, I started thumbing through it. Low and behold, guess what I discovered? In 1991, they talked about Microsoft and Intel (surprised?), compared the “Hot New” 386 SX Laptops (with extra roomy 60 MB hard drives), plus other companies of which some are not in existence anymore (by the way, did you know you could get a Zeos credit card?). But guess what they DIDN’T talk about? You got it! Not one word about Y2K, the infamous “bug” or even about the Internet! G
