What do baby frogs eat?

0

When the frog eggs are first laid the jelly which surrounds the embryo provides sufficient food for the tadpole to develop, then it will start eating the minute algae and other microscopic animal life which is suspended in the pond water. Later it will eat larger objects, such as small insects and their eggs as well as other pond life delicacies such as larvae, small flies, bugs and suchlike. after it has grown legs and sheds its tail it becomes a young frog, which being amphibious can go further afield for larger insect snacks. It’s difficult to feed very young tadpoles…some fish foods will suffice but really it is better to take it to a natural pond and let it fend for itself.
