What do camels usually eat?

0

Working camels eat whatever comes their way when they are crossing the deserts. In N. Africa, these can be the leaves of the thorny acacia trees that grow near oases and shade, or the dried up twigs of the hardy shrubs that managed to grow near rocks around oases. They are amazing animals. A camel can go without water for months if necessary, and a thirsty one can drink up to 200 litres a day!
