What do Elves generally look like?
Elves are generally a very tall and slender race. They are never obese and never gaunt (unless due to some form of mistreatment or trauma, common sense should be applied concerning this of course.). Rather they tend to be of a very proportioned build. They are always fair of skin. When choosing a height for your character, be sure to keep in mind that the average Elven character should be somewhere between about 6 and 7 feet tall. Shorter or taller than that would not be very thematic and would be strongly discouraged Similar to the fairness of skin, Sindarin and Laiquendi Elves often tend to have lighter hair than the Noldor. Dark browns and sandy colors are most common. For the Noldor, shades of black are most common and the rare blonde Noldor might also be encountered. Though very rare, it is possible to have other hair colors, such as red for example.
