Hermit crab pellets are a horrible staple diet for crabbies. Most contain ethoxyquin, copper sulphate, and garlic(all of which are bad for crabs). It’s easy feeding them, you just have to understand they need a variety of foods as we humans do. Most will come from your local grocery store, others come from a pet store(any insects, organic fish foods, organic bird feeds, and such). This website is pretty good at giving you a list of what they can eat. Basically, just give them a variety of fruits, veggies, and meats. No salt, no seasoning, and no junk foods. When feeding meat, you can boil it in plain distilled/dechlorinated water. Don’t leave meat in the tank for too long. It’ll stink up the room. http://hermitcrabcuisine.com/index.php/2… If you have any questions about their basic care, just send an email.
