What do i do if my flight is cancelled or delayed?
If your flight is delayed, yes – you’ll just have to hang around for a while. It’s a pain, but there’s nothing you can do to change the weather. If your flight is canceled – go directly to either the gate agent at the gate your flight was supposed to leave from or to a ticketing counter for your airline. They will assist you in getting booked on the next flight available – keep in mind that it may not necessarily be the next flight to your destination on the schedule, because that one may be booked solid. There will be flight status boards throughout the airport. Be sure to check on your flight every 30 minutes or so (more frequently if the weather starts to get ugly). As frustrating and annoying as delays and cancellations are, please do try to keep a positive attitude if at all possible. As I said before, there isn’t a thing you can do about the weather or (in the event of a cancellation) about a flight being completely full, and there isn’t anything a booking agent can do, either.
