Answer The most important thing is to get shoes that fit right and are comfortable, and the best way to figure this out is to try on lots of different shoes and compare how they feel. How a road shoe should fit depends a lot on how you use it. If you’re a serious road cyclist who spends most of your biking time, biking (versus walking a fair amount here and there), youll want rigid-soled road shoes that fit glove-like on your feet allowing just enough room for toe wiggling. The shoes should be about size snugger than a running shoe. The reason is, your feet do not move in a cycling shoe when youre pedaling and you dont want them to because it would be inefficient and could lead to chafing and blisters and pain.
