What do leprechauns eat?
Leprechauns represent the luck of the Irish in Ireland and are mythical little creatures constantly searching for their pot of gold under the rainbow.
However, leprechauns are fabled to eat traditional Irish cuisine:
- Irish stew (lamb or mutton)
- Black pudding (known as Drisheen in Ireland)
- Sweet breads
- Irish soda bread
- Boiled potatoes
- Cabbage and corned beef
- Potato pancakes called "Boxty"
- "Colcannon" made of mashed potato, cabbage, and butter
- "Champ" made of mashed potatoes, green onions, butter and milk
- Seafood: oysters, prawns (from the Dublin Bay), and lobster cooked in cream and whiskey
They are also known to eat green sprinkles and Lucky Charms (according to pop culture).
