TCTC uses scores on mathematics, reading and writing placement tests to properly place students into mathematics, English, and some science classes. A minimum test scores serves as a prerequisite for these courses so students should give their best effort when taking these tests. If Comprehensive Studies courses are warranted, the student must complete those courses before enrolling in a transferable course. Note: Once a student completes the placement test, an adviser will discuss the test results with the student during Bridge orientation and provide course recommendations based on the student’s test scores.
