What do the different presence / smiley icons mean?
For the mobile: • Users in bold with a white background are either currently online or will receive a mobile alert immediately if you send them a message. • Users not in bold with a white background will receive your message as an email. • Users with a grey background have not yet joined jibe – they’ll get a notification of your message and request to join jibe. For the pc (on facebook): • If you see ‘active’, your friend is currently online using their pc or mobile client. • If you see ‘mobile’, this means they are not currently running their client but they will get your communication immediately delivered to their mobile phone (assuming their phone is on and they are paying attention to it of course). • If you don’t see active or mobile, they are not online and haven’t registered their mobile so they’ll get any messages you send as an email and next time they login. • A gray background means your friend hasn’t wised up to jibe yet and you should invite them to join jibe so you can s
