What do the Iliads myths reveal about ancient greeks, thier lives, religion, culture etc.?
the Iliad reveals: ) the ancient Greeks were homos ) they kept careful lists of who sailed to war with how many ships and what color were the ships ) they believed their hero was the greatest, even though Hector was 10 times the man Achilles was… if you can even call Achilles a “man.” ) their gods didn’t like them ) their gods didn’t like each other, either One of the most overlooked part of Greek mythology is how much trouble their gods cause them. Greeks were like puny humans used as pawns in a game of feuding gods. Oddysseus took years to get home just because Poseidon sent a sea monster to eat the guy that was gonna rat out the horse trick, but Odysseus wouldn’t give him credit. So Poseidon got all pouty for 10 years and killed all of Odysseus’s men.
