WHat do the mean by imprinting in twilight?
Imprinting only happens when you’re already a werewolf or “shapeshifter” in twilight’s case. When you imprint, everything else doesn’t matter except for the object of your imprinting. Jacob and Renesmee’s pull was already so strong that Jacob felt it with Bella before Nessie was even born. You have to look in the eyes to imprint on someone. When the person you imprinted on dies, life won’t mean a thing to you and you’ll be very devastated. That’s why Renesmee was safe from Sam’s pack because Jacob imprinted on her. A werewolf would not kill his brother’s love. It’s just wrong. Also, you have no choice but to be with the one you imprinted on because it would be too painful to be apart from him/her. It’s literally love at first sight.
It’s something peculiar on werewolves. This is an involuntary action and they can’t avoid this. Imprinting is like love at first sight or looking for your “soul mate”. When they see someone that caught their attention and when they can’t take away their eyes from that person, then that is imprinting. On Jacob’s case, when he first saw Reneesme, he felt like there’s a strong force, like the force of gravity and he suddenly felt like he couldn’t leave Renesme’s side.
It is when a wolf falls in love with a girl- its sort of like fate. They have no control over who it is with. The attraction is too powerful, and it is impossible to ignore. The wolf has no choice what so ever in the matter. For example, he could be happily married with two kids… and WHAM! he see’s that checkout chick, and has no choice. Everything gavitites towards her, he cannot leave her alone. The attraction is always returned. It is similar to the concept of Cupids Arrow. This is what happened with Jake and Renesmee. They are meant to be togeether- it is fate. The attraction is way to powerful for Jake to ignore. Renesmee and Jake are destined to be together- its meant to be. *sigh* Damn imprinting. Now, I am going hunting with Emmett.
imprinting is when a werewolf[shape-shifter], sees a girl for the first time and is instantly drawn towards her. In breaking dawn Jacob says it’s like the gravity shifted toward Renesmee and is world revolved around her instead of the sun. It’s not the same as love at first sight as he doesn’t lover her in that way yet. he’s there to be a friend a brother or whatever else she wants while she ages. The werewolves have no choice over who it is. Sam, the alpha wolf thinks this happens so they can carry on the werewolf gene. Renesmee’s pull on Jacob was there even before she was born. The werewolves can’t hurt their brothers imprint as it would hurt them beyond imagination. this is why Sam and the pack don’t attack Renesmee.
