The Sonora is 106,000 square miles and is located in Arizona, California and Mexico, including the Baja California Peninsula. This desert is named after the Mexican state of Sonora and this is where most of the desert lies. In this desert the plants are plentiful, and more cacti varities grow in this area than any other desert in the world.
