What do you think about Filippo Inzaghi?
Inzaghi is one of those players who doesn’t possess excellent speed, good dribbling skills, or fantastic passing abilities. In fact, he wastes way more chances than any other striker you can name (probably not gilardino) and probably not getting any younger. BUT, if there is ever a trophy for opportunists in football, he would be the all time greatest. He has the talent to sniff any opportunity from the other half of the pitch and the ability to capitalise on the slightest opportunity. Tap-ins, rebounds, dubious headers, you name it. Ok, to be fair, he is a seasoned striker with great understanding of the rules (watch him dodge the offside call) and doesn’t mind getting dirty doing his jobs. My verdict, an unspectacular player with good consistency, and probably still got a few good years left in him. A good analogy: if ronaldo is like a 100-metre sprinter, inzaghi would be a marathon runner!
