Neeson chooses first role since wife’s death Liam Neeson has chosen his first project since wife Natasha Richardson’s tragic death. Sources say Neeson will play Zeus, king of the gods, in the upcoming remake of “Clash of the Titans.” His “Schindler’s List” co-star Ralph Fiennes is in talks to appear as Hades’, Zeus’ rival and lord of the underworld. In 1981’s original film, Zeus and his wife Hera competed to see whether mortal Perseus could survive a series of deadly adventures. Gemma Arterton, Mads Mikkelsen and Alexa Davalos also recently joined the cast. Sam Worthington (“Terminator: Salvation”) had previously been cast in the lead role of Perseus. Shooting begins at the end of April. Tony-winning actress Richardson died March 18 after suffering an apparent head injury from a skiing accident.
