What do you think? American Slang should be the official language of the United States?
If it was, I would move to Canada! I really dislike the way Americans speak these days. I just realized I don’t know for sure what our official language is, but I want to say it’s “American English.” Another problem is that there are so many dialects that Americans speak. The US is a large country, in terms of both population and physical size. For example, some of the slang terms here in the Northwest are different than California, New York, and the Southern states. And even between states and cities…Eastern WA is very different from Seattle and Western WA. It would be very hard to standarize all of that.
