• an authentic copy of the act of death from the register of civil status • copies of any marriage contract and divorce judgment • the last will of the deceased, if any • a final will search certificate (certificat final de recherche testamentaire) from the Chambre des notaires du Qubec • a will search certificate from the Barreau du Qubec • a certified true copy of the act of renunciation of the heirs to the succession and certification that the act has been published in the register of personal and movable real rights • a resignation by the designated liquidator of his or her office, in accordance with the provisions of the will, where applicable • other pertinent documents, such as the tutorship judgment if there are minor heirs After reviewing these documents, Revenu Qubec reserves the right to impose other requirements if they are warranted by special circumstances.
