What does 5-ply mean?
When you see this referring to the waterless cookware you are looking to purchase it is referring to the level of construction used to create the cookware. 5-Ply is the lowest level of quality you should consider buying and the highest quality is 7-ply. Your cookware will contain stainless steel on the outer layers and at least one heat inductor such as aluminum, copper or iron in the core of the pan to help retain the heat required to cook without water.
