What does AAMI’s International Travel Insurance cover?
AAMI International Travel Insurance is for permanent Australian residents aged between 18 and 65 and their dependents aged under 18. Our single-person travel policy can cover one adult and one person under 18, while our multi-person policy covers up to two adults and eight people under 18. What’s more, you don’t need to be related because AAMI International Travel Insurance covers all of the travellers, as long as they are travelling together. The policy provides cover for additional expenses caused by unexpected events during the period of cover while you are on an overseas journey, including: Unlimited cover for medical expenses If you are injured or become ill while travelling overseas, AAMI International Travel Insurance will cover your medical expenses. You’re also covered for extras such as additional travel and accommodation costs for a companion to join you if you’re ill or injured overseas. We also help with childcare for the children travelling with you if you’re hospitalised
