What does AIO, Pre-fold, Pocket diaper, inserts, diaper covers, mean?
We at For The Monster understand when you are starting out with cloth diapers all the “terms” can be a little confusing, let us see if we can help you understand some of the more used terms. Pocket Diaper: A pocket diaper is a cloth diaper that is made with an outer layer of water proof material and an inner layer of material, that has an opening so that you may stuff an absorbent layer inbetween them. Inserts: Inserts are the absorbent layers that are put inside a pocket diaper or layed inside other diapers for more protection. Inserts can be made of micro fiber terry, or hemp. Some mom’s make there own inserts.Pre-folds: There are many different types of pre-folds on the market today. The pre-folds are almost the same as what grandma used, but made to absorb more than the old time diapers.
