What does Ambleside Online use for geography?
Charlotte Mason wanted children to learn geography through literary language – using travel books that would bring foreign places and people to life for them. As they read, children use a map or globe to keep track and notice details such as which countries border the country being viewed, what river runs through it, whether there any mountains, volcanoes, lakes. Other than Holling C Holling (Seabird, Paddle to the Sea) and travel books, Ambleside has no systematic geography study.
