What does Bob Dylan mean when he sings, “Shes an artist, she don look back.”?
I always thought he was describing her traits and not necessarily using the “don’t look back” to describe artist part; kind of like a running list of her traits – “she’s got everything she needs, she’s an artist, she don’t look back, she can take the dark out of the nighttime, and paint the daytime black” Interesting take though, makes me think about it differently.
