What does Equality Mean?
It is dynamic, it seems. According to feminism, who were very vocal about promoting equality – it only means rights. So, for example, women get the right to abort a child… and the right to fleece a man of money. Say a woman doesn’t tell her boyfriend she wants to be a mother, but he has often stated he does NOT want to be a father yet. She has the ‘right’ to stop taking her pill without letting him know, and if they split when he finds out he’s been tricked – she has the right to take his money. However, he does not have the right, unlike her, not to be a parent. He doesn’t have the right to make her a parent (whereas she does have that right over him). He doesn’t have the right to walk away from his child, whereas she does. Also, a woman has a right to sexually abuse any man she wants and face minimal legal repercussions, any man who even looks wrong at a woman can face legal threats as well as career related threats.
